Christmas is probably the most widely celebrated festivals in the world. Christmas is also that of the year when all companies offer huge discounts and use all means to attract maximum customers. Huge campaigns are launched to promote all items. During this season the sale of cars world over also goes up. Television is full of commercials showing cars with a big red car bows on top being given as the preferred choice for Christmas presents. Studying the past trends, it has been observed that during the month of December, car sales have gone up by as much as 16 percent in comparison to other months.
Do higher car sales necessarily mean higher car bow sales as well?
December is the preferred month for shopping. This is not just due to increased promotional schemes launched by manufacturers in order to get rid of the old year’s stock and also because of the year end tax benefits. But does this increased car sale translate itself into increased sales of car bows as well. The answer cannot be a simple yes or a no. While the sale figures of car bow during this time too show an increased trend, however, these are not same as the car sales growth figures. The reason is simple. Not every car sold gets delivered with a car bow. In fact the ratio of car’s delivered with car bows with total number of cars delivered is pretty low. Only about three to four percent of the cars are delivered with car bows. The ration was far less in earlier years.
Thanks to the exposure received by the car bows on the Oprah show, their demand has increased recently, but it is still not used as a rule for every delivery made. Car bows are usually used on special requests by customers when they are buying the car as a Christmas gift for their wife or kids. Demand for these car bows arises from another quarter during this season, i.e. for decoration purpose. Big car companies like do use these car bows for decoration of their cars and a standard delivery decoration. Other companies too, use these bows to decorate the products which they place on their shop windows. They give the entire showroom a very holiday feel. Big Christmas parties organized around this time, too make use of big bows for decorating their venues.
Car Bows and Christmas commercials:- Watching television during the Christmas time, audience is subjected to numerous commercials showing cars with beautiful red car bows being given away as Christmas present making us all wish that we too get a car as Christmas present this year along with the car bow of course. Not all are able to afford a new car and hence might go in for a second hand car. The make and the model of the car can change, but one thing that remains same is the perfectly knotted car bow placed over the car giving every car, whether new or second hand, that blessed Christmas feel. The bow makes the presentation of all cars just perfect.
